Before You Go

Essential resources to prepare for your trip.

You gain access to a world of exclusive benefits and privileges that transform your safari adventure into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Packing Lists

Pack lightweight, breathable clothes in neutral colors for game drives, with warm layers for cool mornings and evenings. Bring a rain jacket if visiting from November to May, swimwear for lodges or Zanzibar, and comfortable shoes for walking safaris. Include a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, scarf, binoculars, and a camera with extra batteries. Don’t forget a daypack, reusable water bottle, insect repellent, sunscreen, personal medications, and a basic first-aid kit.

Visa Information

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, with a return or onward ticket and confirmed accommodation. Most travelers need a tourist visa—check entry rules and apply online (e-Visa) or on arrival. Keep a printed e-Visa and photocopies of your passport and visa separately.

Travel Tips

Drink bottled water, respect local customs, carry sunscreen and repellent, secure valuables, and learn basic Swahili greetings.
